With regard to the remote research, the Archive and the Library No carry out research on behalf of third parties, i.e. they do not replace scholars and researchers in identifying and assessing specific information and individual documents, but they guarantee access to and consultation of the archival and bibliographic material held there, directing the researcher towards collections and series that may be relevant to their research area; staff may also direct the scholar to other, more pertinent, holding institutions.
The responsibility for research remains with the scholar, who is required to carry out their work independently, either in person or by using the paid photo-reproduction service.
